This hawk is colored pencil on green mat board and is about90% completed. It is 8 x 10.

These are the next class demos for the pigeon series.

This is watercolor on wood prepped with primer and absorbent ground (Golden Acrylics).




This is colored pencil on wood prepped with primer and acrylic ground for pastels titnted with some acrylic paint (Golden Acrylics).

This is colored pencil on black Artagain paper size 9 x 12. This is for my daughter and he is a member of a Japanese band.

This is also colored pencil on black Artagain paper. This is the guy that my neice Ashli wanted me to draw.

Watercolor on paper - quarter sheet. Color used is cobalt for this first step. Work on getting the structure with values.



This shows the next several steps. I added New Gamboge as well as a burnt sienna (or burnt orange) to the petals keeping in mind the values. Then I wet the background and floated in indigo as well as the other 3 colors used in the petals.

Watercolor on wood prepped with Golden Acrylic absorbent ground.








Colored pencil on wood prepped with tinted acrylic ground for pastel (also a Golden Acrylic product)







Both of these are done on the 20" round decorator tables. Prep the table first with a primer. Let it dry and then paint or roll on either the absorbent ground (watercolor) or the tinted acrylic ground for pastel (colored pencil).

These pieces are in the very beginning stages.

Watercolor on paper - quarter sheet. Colors used are quin. rose and new gamboge. Work on getting the structure with values. (The difference in the color of the paper is the time of the day I shot the photos).

Added cobalt to some of the shadow areas.
