Converging Legs
Colored Pencil
21" H x 27" W

This was worked on off and on over about a 9 year period. It may actually be finished now (or very, very close).

This is the final piece. Lots of smoothing and work with values and color.
I added some color and highlights and shadows as well as lightening the background.
This is the second step with a little background color added and then I used Turpenoid over the whole drawing.
This is the first pass of color on the jelly beans. I am working on 140 lb. watercolor paper with Prismacolor colored pencils. This is the July Challenge at Wetcanvas
The reference photo "Jelly Beans" is by Olika (thanks!)

This is the finished piece, seen below separately in another post. They are meant to be either matted and framed seperately or matted as one unit with 2 openings in the mat.

Carousel Horse in progress

This is the painting after adding several layers of Prismacolor colored pencil over the watercolor under painting. The colors used are white, cream, dark brown (on the horses and the background), sienna brown, dark green, crimson red, and indigo.
